Lochcarron Heavyweight Kilt Information The kilt included with this package is made using Lochcarron of Scotland's Strome heavyweight 16oz worsted wool eight yard kilt fabric. Established in 1947 by J Morris Buchan, in the Borders town of Selkirk, in an area famed for its heritage in knitwear. They have over 65 years of tradition, craftsmanship and expertise that has been paired up with the latest weaving technology to create the very finest tartan fabrics available today. This fabric is taken by our kiltmaker who carefully hand stitches every part of this kilt together to create the finished garment. No machine stitching is used, as a result this kilt takes many, many hours of intensive labour to create. The finished kilt is impressive and will look and feel fantastic. This kilt is pleated to the sett but can be pleated to stripe by request.Should you require any help when placing your kilt order please contact us on 0131 553 3472, where our staff will be happy to help you.
Material type: Heavy (16 oz) Weight Worsted 100% Pure Wool. Tartan shown is Spirit of Scotland.
As the kilt is a hand made item that is made to each individual customer's precise measurements it will take between 5-7 weeks to complete. This includes cutting the cloth, hand stitching and finishing. Should you require your kilt quicker please call us on 0131 553 3472 to discuss.
