Kilt Belts

The kilt belt is an important element of a highlandwear outfit. Historically, a leather kilt belt was worn to prevent the kilt from slipping and also to hang a sword, dirk or pistol from.

The kilt belt is paired with a kilt buckle in a shiny or antique finish. Traditional kilt belts or montrose kilt belts are made from hide leather and about 2.25 inches wide. Belts for kilts do not go through the belt loops but sit on top of the loops, around the top of the kilt. We have a large variety of kilt belts for sale with designs featuring thistles, serpents, celtic designs and claddagh symbols.
