Recently, Edinburgh played host to the TV behemoth Britain's Got Talent. Thousands of hopefuls queued in the freezing cold for their one chance at impressing the celebrity panel and possibly igniting a career in entertainment. Amongst this star studded celebrity panel was TV and radio funny man David Walliams. Probably best known as half of the controversial dark-comedy; Little Britain, along side Matt Lucas - David approached us to help him look his best for the thousands of spectators on Edinburgh's streets not to mention the millions of viewers across the country, tuning in. We were only too happy to kit David out for the show. The outfit was a favourite in the press as well as the other star panelists Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden. Simon maybe liked the outfit a bit too much...     David wore the Royal Stewart tartan, world famous and instantly recognisable. The kilt was paired with a black Prince Charlie jacket and matching waistcoat, formal wing collar shirt with bow tie, ecru coloured kilt hose and black ghillie brogues. A simple belt and buckle combo underneath a spectacular grey calf skin full dress chrome sporran. Tucked into the hose was an imitation sgian dubh - a replica knife traditionally worn in the sock. Finishing off the look was a fly plaid worn across the shoulder, in matching Royal Stewart tartan. All in all the outfit was a hit and we were approached by numerous others, celebrity and non-celebrity alike, afterwards to help them look their best in something similar. We have a wide range of in-stock kilts available off the shelf however for those who would like a tartan a little bit more specific, we work with some of Scotland's biggest tartan mills to produce exceptional quality real wool kilts in authentic, traditional tartans. Our range has numerous designs and themes incorporated into our buckles, kilt pins, sporrans and accessories.   For any more information on the outfit worn by David or if you happen to be looking for a similar outfit, don't hesitate to contact us at: Unit 1,Bonnington Business Centre, 106 Jane Street, Edinburgh, EH6 5HG. 0131 553 3472 or
