Did you know St Patrick was actually the patron Saint of Scotland? That makes St Patricks Day (almost) a big a deal in Scotland as it is in Ireland, meaning there’ is lots to do and see. With COVID postponing majority of paddy events the last couple years, 2022 is certaintly going all out with the celebrations. Whilst most of this pertains to drinking, you won’t want to miss these 3 St Patrick events happening in Scotland this year.

  1. Cowgate St. Patrick’s Festival

Located right at the heart of Edinburgh’s centre, Cowgate is no stranger to Celtic culture. Filled with Irish pubs, this area of bars is putting on an St Patrick’s festival this year, meaning you can fully immerse yourself with the festivities within one area of Edinburgh.

The Cowgate St. Patrick's festival is held in four venues within the Cowgate area: The Three Sisters, Biddy Mulligans, Espionage, and Cabaret Voltaire. All a few mintues walk fro eachother, within these locations, you can find live Irish music, plenty Guinness and a fabulous atmosphere. A great excuse to see the sights in Edinburgh and partake in the ultimate Irish pub crawl.
