This semi formal jacket is made from 13 ounce 100% new wool tweed cloth from Scottish mills. It is very similar to the argyle jacket, but with less formal plain cuffs making it better suited for casual or daywear. It features stag horn buttons, 3 button cuffs, pocket flaps, and epaulettes.
The modern single button crail jacket is a fine example of Scottish tailoring and a true blend of traditional highland dress and high street fashion. When worn with a kilt, it would normally be accompanied by a semi-dress sporran, standard collared shirt, and neck tie (or bow tie). Its perfectly suited to weddings, formal dinners, and other Scottish occasions.
You can also dress it down for a ceilidh or highland games by substituting for a ghillie shirt. This is one of the more versatile kilt jackets and you can easily subsitute the kilt for a pair of trousers for general office wear. Comes complete with a matching 5 button charcoal tweed waistcoat that is also made in Scotland.
When measuring for your jacket and waistcoat please allow at least 1" or 2" give for comfort and movement. For example if you measure as a snug 38" chest order a 40" jacket. The additional size will allow for comfortable body movement when wearing the jacket and waistcoat. Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
