Irish Kilts

From the late 19th to early 20th century the Irish adopted the kilt from their Gaelic cousins, the Scots, as a symbol of national pride. The Irish kilt was adapted from the traditional Scots tartan kilt and is wore in plain colours - either the Irish saffron kilt or green and grey versions.

Irish county kilts were also developed using tartan in the colour of the various shields and emblems of the Irish counties. We have an extensive range of Irish kilts for sale with matching celtic style full dress sporrans, sgian dubhs, belts and buckles, kilt pins and kilt hose.
