All kilts are produced in the "To Sett" style where the pattern or sett on the back of the kilt appears the same as it does on the front of the kilt.
We are able to offer kilts as the "To Stripe" style separately but this incurs additional charges and must be discussed with our sales team either by phone or email to ensure feasibility.

This 8 yard kilt is skilfully hand finished by our kiltmaker, who uses hand cut lengths of 100% wool tartan fabric that has been specially treated to make it stain resistant, to create these stunning garments. Each role of fabric has been skilfully woven by one of Scotland's oldest and most well respected mills in Scotland to the highest standards possible.
Whilst every effort is made to keep these fabrics in stock, however due to fluctuating demands stocks of these fabrics can vary depending on the production cycle at the mill. To ensure your required tartan is in stock, please contact us on 0131 510 9285 to discuss your requirements and check availability.
Each kilt is made to measure by our kiltmaker, in Scotland, to an extremely high standard. The kilt is made with a full 8 yards of material. Front edge has double fringe, there are two belt loops at the back. Each kilt has 3 buckles and straps for size adjustment. This kilt is pleated to the sett but can be pleated to stripe by request.
Material type: 16oz weight 100% pure wool, stain resistant. Tartan shown is Baird Modern.
As this is an item that is made to each individual customer's precise measurements it will need to be made to order.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on made to measure items, unless they are faulty as it is unlikely that we will be able to sell a made to measure item to another customer.

Ensure your measurements are accurate re-measure at least twice! If possible get a tailor or seamstress to measure you up.
To help our kilt makers please let us know what date you require your kilt for.
We have made every effort to ensure the colours on screen match the actual fabric colours as close as possible. However, we can not guarantee an exact colour match, as colours will vary depending on your screen settings and resolution.

Please remember to select ‘exchange’ as your “Reason for return”, and include a note in the parcel of what you would like the item exchanged for. If you select any other reason, we will automatically refund you.
At the Scotland Kilt Company we want you to be entirely satisfied and 100% confident in us and our products. That is why we have, what we feel is the best returns policy of any online Highlandwear retailer.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us for an exchange or full refund within 365 days of your original delivery. The only exception to this our tailor-made, made-to-measure garments, unless they are faulty, due to the bespoke nature of these items.
Please note - If you are sending your item back to be exchanged or refunded you will not be reimbursed for initial postage paid or postage cost back to us, unless the item was faulty.
We reserve the right to deny refunds or exchanges on items which have been worn, without original tags or packaging and are not in their original condition.
